About Me

So, who is this errdaymari? I am glad you asked!
Errdaymari represents an everyday me in a quirky way. :)

I am a twenty-something doing what a twenty-something does best . . . procrastinate on life. (I am only half kidding). I am a recent Texas graduate, aspiring child life specialist, big kid at heart, and a Latina with a love for my Mexican heritage.

I was inspired to start this blog by my friend, Salina Rios, who passed away from cancer in April 2013. She was a great person and has really motivated me to continue on with my fight against my own kidney disease.

I would also like to dedicate this blog to the many young people that are fighting their own battles whether that be an illness or any other challenges that might feel heavy on their shoulders at this time. Hopefully, we can all inspire each other with our stories! Lastly, I am reminded of all of the young people of my class at Akins HS that have passed away (Helena, Kelsey, Timmy, Juan, and many more.) Their lives were taken away from us way too soon and I hope to honor their memory as well by not taking my life for granted and truly appreciating everything and everyone that surrounds me. My disease has pushed me to continue dreaming and has helped me find my purpose in life, which I believe to be is helping others. Through this blog, I also hope to share my volunteer experience and random acts of kindness.

Life is good. Life has truly been good to me and God has given me so much more than I could have asked for. I am thankful today.
